If you would like to acquire new skills that will allow you to participate in a wider range of diving activities, then our PADI Advanced Open Water program is for you. An Open Water certification is a prerequisite for the Advanced Open Water course. The advanced course consists of two required core dives:

• Navigation Dive (compass work, including swimming patterns)
• Deep Dive (in excess of 60 feet, including safety practices)

as well as three elective dives chosen from the following list:

• Wreck Dive 
• Search & Recovery
• Multi-level Dive
• Night Dive
• Underwater Naturalist
• Boat Dive
• Drift Dive
• Dry Suit Dive
• Underwater Photo Dive

Cost: $40.00 per dive. $5.00 non-refundable deposit per dive required for registration.

Additional Costs: Text book is $42.00 or you can alternatively buy a CDROM kit for $56.50. You must complete the Knowledge Reviews at the end of the 5 relevant chapters (both required dives and your 3 chosen electives) before your scheduled dives.

Required Equipment: Mask, fins, snorkel, regulator w/ alternate air, SPG, depth gauge, compass, BCD w/low-pressure inflator, exposure protection (wetsuit for cold water, hood, gloves), tank, weight system, dive knife. An underwater light and backup light (such as a cylume stick) are required for the elective Night Dive.

Rental Package: Rental package includes regulator w/ alternate air, SPG, depth gauge, compass, BCD w/ low pressure inflator, exposure suite (2pc cold water suit), hood, gloves, weights, 2 tanks. Rental costs is $30 per day ($60 for Friday pickup with Monday return). Lights are available on a first come, first serve basis. Cylume sticks are free!

Air Fills: Diver must provide air fills.

Dives are usually held at the Portage Quarry in Bowling Green, Ohio (approx. 2 hours north of Columbus).
