Regulators

Scuba regulators are the foundation of your scuba kit because they link everything together. They connect your scuba cylinder to your BCD, submersible pressure gauge and alternate air source. Regulators consist of a first stage (attaches to the scuba cylinder) and a second stage (attached to the mouthpiece).  First stage options include piston or diaphragm, balanced or unbalanced, yoke or DIN. Piston first stages usually have fewer moving parts than diaphragm first stages and are often less expensive. Diaphragm first stages separate the interior parts from the water which reduces internal corrosion and contaminant buildup.
